Passionate environmentalist and former Miss Universe Australia, Erin McNaught (pictured), will launch Fashion Forward in September, a fashion event with edge that will engage design and sustainability enthusiasts alike. This is a sustainable style event and is sure to be fantastic so you won't want to miss out. 

Broadmeadows Shopping Centre will run Fashion Forward in conjunction with the Kangan Institute where 110 students have accepted the challenge to create the most innovative and fashionable sustainable design. The fashion industry has always been a master of reinvention and Fashion Forward will take the concept one step further with designers finding ways to use recycled and discarded materials in their designs.

Each student has received a new season look from Broadmeadows fashion retailers to deconstruct, upcycle and transform to create a stunning new design. From vintage fabrics to dismantling, reshaping and merging the old with the new, it’s a creative process that calls for less energy in production and produces less waste.
