There are actually a few options that you can go for if you really don’t want to wear a dress. Kulot’s (yes I said kulot – so 20s vintage glamorous when worn long to the ground and pleated) trousers or even a skirt!

Without really knowing what the evening indoor event is can I suggest a trousers outfit which can be very stylish if worn correctly. The first thing would be to make sure your trousers are tailored. Now all you need to do is dress your trouser up.  Firstly you must wear a high heel with your trouser. If you are not going to wear a dress then something needs to indicate that you have dressed up your outfit, a gorgeous pair of heels will do this immediately. Secondly you must give careful consideration to the top half of your outfit. A glimmering, silver sparkly top could work fabulously with an upswept hair door, matching silver/sparkly heels and silver jewellery for accessories.  Think Scarlett Johansson for that gorgeous Hollywood starlet look.  Another top option could be a corset which can look extremely glamorous with trousers in the evening.

Otherwise you could wear a skirt, of which there are so many fabulous styles to choose form at the moment – aLine, bubble, bias cut. May I suggest a pencil skirt – a truly glamorous cut that just looks superbly stylish with heels and an equally glamorous top.  Again, dress your outfit up with accessories, I’d go for silver or gold or even pearls for evening.
