Do you remember the pinafore, your mum used to make you wear it! It's oh so now and hot off the press AskBronny says we liiiiiiikes it'.
Do you remember the pinafore, it was something that your mother put you in when you were a child. Well here it is hot off the press at AskBronny and we have one thing to say about this new trend and one thing only. ‘We liiiiiiikes it’. Here’s why we like it. Number one, it is perfect for layering, so this makes this look good for Winter or Summer. You can go without a layer underneath in the summer and with in the Winter. This makes it a good investment. Lets have a think about the pinafore as well, it’s a look that in a way hasn’t really gone away. It has the straight line across the boobs, the thick straps across the shoulders, it’s actually a really symmetrical style, which means you can pull it off without looking like you are trying to wear the latest runway fashion that you just spotted – rather you will look like you are actually encouraging some really exciting ways to wear new looks! And we for one like that at AskBronny. This look is also perfect for the opshopping experience. You could pick yourself up a very groovy 70s pinafore from any opshop and then go home and make some alterations, make it short so it falls to the hip, this little goodie is going to hide that troublesome tummy as well. Or let it drop to just above the knee and team it with your tighest jeans and a hot pair of boots! Lets think platforms, heres a look to think about. Start with the plaform, a groovy pair of boot cut jeans and then team it with a pinafore with long sleeved t underneath – getting the idea? It's just so 70s funky! Complete your 70s look with a headscarff! The pinafore might not be for everyone, in fact if you suffer from wing arms then you might want to give this look a miss in the summer. Because the pinafore is flush across the middle of the shoulder and straight down to the chest area there is no room for covering your arms. On the other hand – how cute would this look be with a t-shirt underneath! So what could go wrong with this look. First of all you might think the pinafore / overall shorts are a good look, I’m going to say it here, it is not a good look! Unless, and let me stress this – unless you choose well, otherwise you are just going to look like a bowling mum and that aint a good look. That’s not to say that the playsuit pinafore can’t work. For example I saw a very cute strapless shorts playsuit in gingham with a ruffle along the top – now this is cute, denim shorts baggy pinafore on the other hand – hmmm – maybe Carrie could pull it off with a pair of mahnolos but lets think every day gal … I’d say no. Yes it’s true I love this particular trend and I can see it looking fabulous on a variety of women for a variety of reasons. It’s just so damn diverse – now get opping me mateys and off to the shops to find yourself a HMAS pinafore! Love |
