Jeans for Long Legs
Written by Bronny
Hi Bronny,

I am 6ft and have trouble finding jeans that are long enough. I am happy that the high rise is making a comeback as I hate hipsters. Could you suggest any brands which may be suitable.  I have found some such as Mavi and Lee and would like to pay no more than $150.

Thankyou
Jen

ANSWER

Dear Jen

Ah the search for long legged jeans in the right price range is always a tough one. This can be tricky and usually requires much searching through shop after shop on a Saturday or Sunday.

Firstly if you don't really like the hipster look then you need to be looking for a 'high rise' jean. This means the jean doesn't sit down on your hips but rather a bit higher although not right on your belly button.

Second, is the important aspect of leg length. If you are 6ft then I would suggest that you want to be looking at jeans with at least a 34" inner seam – no less. You maybe be able to get away with a 32" inner seam, but only if you were to wear flats with that outfit. Grab a tape measure to be certain and measure you inner leg down to your ankle and then you'll know exactly the length you should be looking for.

Third is brand, jeans with a longer leg include Joe Jeans, Hudson, True Religion, James and Ernest Sewn as well as those you mention of Mavi and Lee.

Finally, you mention budget. Most of the above mentioned jeans can be quite expensive to buy (around the $300), however I have found a loop hole that means you can purchase these brands for the price you would like – with some clever online surfing and shopping!

There are a few websites in particular that I would like to direct you to they are:

RevolveClothing.com
CoutureCandy.com
eBay.com

The trick with shopping online is to actually go out and about and the find the jeans you want. Try on heaps, try on the labels I’ve mentioned above, then write down size, style, brand and then jump online. You'll usually be able to find what you want at half the price, plus shipping and you're done.  I can vouch for this method because it is how I have bought my most expensive jeans for half the price!

Also, keep in mind customer service, you can actually write to these online shops asking them questions about the jeans you are considering and they will write back with measurements and any other information you require.

Here's a pair at RevolveClothing that fit into your budget they are from 575 Denim – sport the wider leg which is coming back into fashion, have a 34” inner seam. I think they look fairly hot! And all for just $99 USD which works out to be $127 then add on shipping.

More sale jeans at Revolve here for just $110 these ones are by BlueCult and have a 36” inner seam.

How about these Siwy jeans at Revolve, they have 34” inner seam which is a good length. If you are 6ft then a 34” leg could be just about right.

Here’s some Joe Jeans – again from RevolveClothing, this time with a 35” inner seam. I think these are gorgeous in color and cut – a classic! Plus Joe Jeans look great on taller girls.

One more pair for you from RevolveClothing, these have a 34’5 inner seam and are from 1921 Denim.

And just because I love jeans SOOOOO much !!  Here’s a few more pairs:

  1. Earnest Sewn
  2. James
  3. James

So, why not head out on the weekend and try on some of the more expensive jeans that are longer in the leg, get your sizing down and then head online to purchase your jeans for half the price!

Love

Bronny
