Hey Bronny! The last question about jeans got me thinking. I am pretty thin and look good in skinny jeans, but I really want a pair of wide-legs or boyfriend jeans and I just can't find any that suit my figure! Why do they always look daggy, baggy and homie-from-da-hood-ish? How can I find a pair that work on me? Ta Kitty ANSWER Dear Kitty, If you are skinny then you really should be able to wear any of the boyfriend jean styles. Can I suggest you try some of the mens smaller styles. The things with boyfriend jeans is to make sure they fit, so whilst they should be baggy they should still be snug around the waist and bottom area. Another option is to go for the wideleg jean that were popular a little while ago, the difference between that trend and the current trend is that boyfriends jeans sit up a little bit higher. Personally, I have a pair of boyfriend jeans that I dag about the house in, what I do to keep them looking snug and well fitting is roll the top over, they are ripped to buggery, and are an old pair of 501’s, great color, the perfect boyfriend jean – but to avoid the problem of them looking ultra baggy which makes me look bigger than I am, I roll the top of them over which keeps them snug at the top part of the jean. My best advice that I can ever give with jeans is to be patient and keep trying them on until you get what you want. Also, think outside the box, try on boys jeans! Maybe mens jeans and look in opshops as well as you may find smaller sizings. Personally I think the best brands to look for in this style (in mens jeans in particular) are going to be Diesels and Levi’s which seem to suit a woman’s shape as they allow for having a bottom.
