Dear Bronny, I am going to an opera soon and have no idea what to wear, I don't want to be too 'formal' or 'overdone'! Help! From Lydia ANSWER Dear Lydia, The Opera – how divine! First things first – no denim whatsoever. You have two options here, you can either go for an outfit that would also be considered ‘cocktail’ as in a dress that you might wear to the races (as in horse), a cocktail party or even an after work function. Unless you are attending the Opera in New York in which case I would advise dressing up – as thought you were attending a wedding. Otherwise, if you are attending the opera in Australia, the UK or even Asia – you can dress as advised in a ‘cocktail’ manner. Personally, I always think black tailored trousers, heels and an elegant top to match with bright accessories is always a safe option for an evening at the opera. Have a lovely time. Love Bronny xxxx |
