Cardy over a dress
Written by Bronny
Dear Bronny,

I have to wear a black dress in my next tv extra project.  Is it fashionable to wear a dressy coloured cardigan over the top to add a bit of brightness?

Also I don't look the best in dresses with my figure, so I thought it may take the attention away from the bumps!!!!

Thanks
Rachel

ANSWER

Dear Rachel,

I think you could definitely team a colored cardy over the top of a back dress for some added color. Can I also suggest some bright accessories and shoes – perhaps red? The brightly colored accessories will draw attention away from any areas you are not so keen on people noticing.

Remember when working on TV that the camera does add extra pounds! So perhaps you could even go for a black cardigan over the dress with some kind of detail through the cardy.  There are some gorgeous vintage cardigans that have detail over the shoulder in beads, this could be a gorgeous option to go over your dress.

Here’s a couple of cardy’s I found online – see what you think:

- Cardigan 1
- Cardigan 2
- Cardigan 3

Good luck with your TV project and please do jump onto the Clotheshorse and tell us how you get on with your dress and cardy.

Love
Bronny
