Hello Bronny, My name is Nicole and im going to a graduation. I am a lot taller then other people in my grade so I am going to wear flats. I am going to my grade 8 graduation and my dress is yellow. So my question is what colour shoes should I wear with a yellow dress. From Nicole ANSWER Dear Nicole Congratulations on your graduation! Being tall is a wonderful thing and as such you should wear your height with pride. I was also really tall in Grade 8 – in fact I went on Summer holidays and came back a whole 3 inches taller! My friends couldn’t believe it. The thing I learnt back then however was that most of my friends wished they were tall like me – so wear your height with pride, and remember that being tall is a great thing, it means you have long legs! Now for your yellow dress. First of all, what a wonderful color, yellow is so fashionable at the moment as well, I think there are a couple of options for the color of shoes to wear. You could go for a silver strappy flat, perhaps of the roman sandle variety, these sorts of shoes can match a sunny yellow dress really well. The other kind of shoe I would recommend would be a ballet flat, you could go for a ballet flat in a floral pattern with a bit of yellow in it. Other colors that would look great include silver, black and red if you decide to go for a full color rather than a pattern. Have a look at the Steve Madden website where you can actually make your own flat shoe with their interactive shoe maker. I love it and I’m sure you’ll find a style here that you’ll love that you can then go and find in the stores. How about making a blue or pink gingham ballet flat, you could then wear blue chunky accessories with your dress. SteveMadden.com Here are my hot picks to go with your yellow dress. With a bright yellow dress you are always better to go for colors that don’t take away from the brightness or your dress but rather flatter and compliment it. Love Bronny xxxx |
