Hello Bronny I am 16 and weigh 89pounds, my height is 5'5" and I have a big issue finding party outfits. On September I am invited to an afghan wedding where every one like in ever other wedding wear dresses. But I have a problem with that coz I am too skinny. I don’t know what else to wear. Do you have any tips? If yes please help me out. From Hoorya ANSWER Dear Hoorya, At 16 your body is still developing and so like I was at that very age you are very skinny! This is actually a great thing as it means you can really wear whatever you want. At 5.5 you’re not overly tall so my suggestions for a party outfit that makes you feel and look fabulous for the Afghan wedding would be to opt for a pair of tailored trousers instead of a dress. When you say that you have a problem with the dress code being dresses is this because you feel you are too thin to wear a dress? I would actually say that you can never be too thin to wear a dress! There are some beautiful dresses around at the moment. If you concern is that you think you look too thin in a dress then I would suggest wearing one of the many fun styles that are so popular at the moment, you could wear a pinafore, a bubble dress or even one of the very cute pocket dresses. Given the eighties are so in at the moment you could even wear something that was a little bit ‘prom’ esque, swearheart neckline, spaghetti straps and drop straight from under the breast. If you opt for a dress that billows out as in the baby doll style, this actually looks great on skinnier girls.
