Dear Bronny, I am not a particularly tall girl and I was shiocked the Maxi starting to appear as the next thing in dresses. With Spring Carnival approaching, I can’t see myself wearing a maxi, don’t you have to be tall and skinny or Kate Hudson's twin? I am 5ft 3. Help. Love Prue ANSWER Dear Prue, Did you see the spice girls publicity shots for their upcoming reunion? Well I noticed that Gerri Halliwell was indeed wearing a Maxi Dress with a pair of wedge heels! And Ginger Spice is no Skyscraper! In fact the Maxi is great for girls with curves as this is a dress that is all about creating length and hiding lumps and bumps. I would say the Maxi is actually a dress that can be worn by all. Can I suggest wearing a pair of wedge heels with your Maxi? And also, if you find a Maxi you like that is too long, don’t be afraid to take it to the dressmaker for an adjustment across the hem. The Maxi is a real 70s look, so I’d be sticking with the 70s theme by teaming the Maxi with either wedges or even thongs during the day. Love Bronny xxxx |
