I am a 24 year old grad student who needs some summer fashion advice.

I'd like to have style for my age summer while not dressing like a teenager.

I'm currently wearing linen all the time but need to mix it up!

Ah summer! Doesn’t it just make you want to throw out your old clothes and bring in some new – it sure does me!

I think you need to go for some basic staples in your wardrobe. Linen is fine, however it does crease really quickly which doesn’t necessarily look that great.

Polo’s always look great on guys and are not a ‘teen’ look. Add to this cargo’s, tailored shorts to just above the knee (perhaps try checked shorts if you’re adventurous). Finally you need to get a pair of Havana’s (flip flops / thongs). For evening, get yourself a nice lightweight black shirt (they look great on everyone!) and a pair of straight leg jeans, you can still wear the Havana flip flops or get a pair of canvas trainers such as converse.

Stick to these staples and you’ll be looking hot without looking like a little kid.
