QUESTION The problem is a while before we decided to go a friend of the family bought me a dress and don't get me wrong its beautiful but its not really my style. The little straps inside that are used for hanging it say Alfred on them so I have a feeling this is short for Alfred Angelo. The dress is light yellow in color. It has an empire silhouette, a halter neckline, and a sweep train. It has sort of kind of sparkley little flower embellishments on it. I unfortunately don't have a picture of the dress because I can't find my digital camera. I do have some pictures of me and a pic of the mask I want to where with the dress and the venue where the dance will be held so you can understand my situation somewhat better.
My main thing is what can I wear with dress accessory wise. That will make it seem a little more my style because the
only alteration my mom will let me perform is hemming and taking it in
at the sides. I'm really confused so any help is greatly appreciated.
ANSWER Hi Bri, Wow - you are sooooooooooo cute! I love all your photos... I actually think the mask is really cute and could work well with the outfit you have described. From what you describe I think you could do something like wrap a black sash around the middle of the dress and possibly add some black embellishments to the mask and this would look gorgeous and bring the dress and mask more into your style. It would help me enormously to see the dress, however, I do think that with some simple changes you could really make the dress your own. You could even go and get a sparkle gun and some black sparkles and add them to the bodice of the dress. With the sash at the waist this would work well with the yellow and again make the dress a little more like you. Please do send through photos if you can and have a great time at your group dance. Remember it's all about confidence in wearing anything! Feel confident and you'll look confident! Love Bronny xxxx |
