Interview Clothes
Written by Bronny
Hi Bronny,

I am going on an important interview for a personal training position tomorrow, would a trendy, stylish track suit be more appropriate than the 'go to' business pinstripe suit I am used to?  I do feel confident in both, but want to put the right message across.

Many Thanks,
Karen

ANSWER

Hi Karen

Even though the position is for a personal trainer I wouldn't wear a tracksuit.

I suggest dressing down your usual pinstripe suit. Slacks, flats and a shirt with cardigan casually buttoned and worn sitting around the shoulder or if it's warm no cardigan. Then accessorise as per usual.

It's about conveying professionalism. It would be clear already that you own tracksuits. Think of gym managers they usually wear corporate wear. The fitness business is afterall an industry.

Good luck and let me know how you go!

Love
