Rikki is our new Sydney gal on the scene! She'll be heading off to events and all sorts of fashiony type things to bring us all the Sydney fashion gossip! Til then - check out her favorite things.
1. Vintage Inspired Dress I love finding vintage or vintage inspired dresses! I always feel great when I wear this Twenties style mini dress. The length gives the dress a sexy edge, while the lace detail and sheer shoulder keeps it romantic and girly. Worn with floral accessories and pearls or bright heels and statement bangles, it’s a winner in my wardrobe! ![]() 2. Fun Costume Rings Jewellery choice can make or break an outfit. For me, it’s all in the rings! Although you should never underestimate the importance of valuable quality items, costume jewellery is a great way to express your style without breaking your budget. On days when I all can muster is a tee and jeans, adding my favourite chunky, fun, statement ring turns boring into bling. ![]() 3. Charlie Brown Tote I love this bag for its function and adorable bow detail. Being a tote, I can fit my entire life by my side all while feeling very stylish! The neutral colour ensures it harmonises with almost any outfit, particularly day wear. Be creative with beige tones by adding coloured beads or a tied small scarf to the handle to give your bag its very own makeover. ![]() 4. Bright Fun Heels Just as everyone should have a pair of black pumps, so too should you have a great pair of bright fun heels! The detail and colour of these heels means they can stand alone as a statement piece and have brought to life many outfits. Either with dark skinny jeans and floaty top or with a black long-sleeved mini, these lovelies always steal the show! ![]() 5. Carla Zampatti Inspired Jacket This is my greatest bargain find. Having spent four years on a student’s budget, my love for fashion often comes at price beyond my reach! I had seen her black and white striped tailored tuxedo style jacket and fell in love with it... although worth every cent, I was not in love with the price. I found this red and navy version for under $50! While you need to be careful when buying budget items due to lack of quality and tailoring, it you search carefully you can come along some great buys. The detail on the shoulders and the tailored shaping has made this a staple item in my wardrobe. When it once fooled a staff member of a leading fashion magazine, I knew I had a gem! ![]() 6. Military Tank Khaki is not always my colour so this tank was a great take on the military trend. I purchased it while in Melbourne, and it is featured in almost every photo of the trip! The ruffled black detail and beading give it a great edgy feel, while the V neck cut keeps it sexy and feminine. There’s little need for accessorising with this piece! ![]() 7. Racer Back I’m not built to rock a great cleavage, so I love a good racer back to draw attention elsewhere! Detailed with ribbon, beading or a bold colour, these pieces are great for showing off a summer (faux!) glow and giving an outfit a bit of difference without the fuss. 8. Perfume! Never underestimate the importance of perfume as part of your wardrobe! I love love love my array of perfumes, they compliment every outfit and my mood. As Coco Chanel once said, ‘A woman who doesn’t wear perfume has no future.’ Ok, so that might be a bit of stretch... But I love them nonetheless... did I mention that? ![]() 9. Hats All year round the weather can be really harsh on my skin, so I happily introduced myself to the fedora trend. I have fallen in love with them, not just for the time saved straightening my hair, but for the great variety of styles and colours they’re available in. The straw styles are great for a beach summer and structured styles in darker shades set off a winter jacket and scarf perfectly. ![]() 10. Woven Wallet I purchased this wallet recently for the bargain price of $20. It’s big enough to fit my many cards, but small enough to fit in my clutches. The painted oriental flowers over the black woven base are intricate and beautiful. I find it really difficult to find wallets that are interesting in design and functional, so I am very excited by this find! ![]() |
