Hi Bronny, I'm a size 14, I have big hips but smaller legs. I want to buy some nice designer jeans, but it seems that us 'bigger' ladies aren't supposed to wear nice designer jeans as they are hard to get in our size. Do you have some recommendations/brands of some nice straight leg designer jeans.

These are wonder jeans and are modelled by last years ANTM Winner! You can find jeans that fit - it's simply about the cut. Usually when your shape doesn't fit the mould you need to try lots and lots of jeans. See how you go with the Bettina Liano's and keep in mind that American Designers like True Religion and Hudson also cater for girls around size 14 and have a lot of stretch to accommodate hips and flatter the leg shape.
