Well would you believe I answered this very same question for one of my best friends last night over the phone. I'm going to give you the same advice I gave her.

I always have a first date rule that you wear jeans, heels and a top that you always get compliments in on a first date. Throw on a casual jacket, makeup understated and hair neat and tidy and you've hit the jackpot.

All in all you want to feel comfortable, so wear your failsafe outfit. For me when I'm not feeling so hot, that's black skinny jeans, a black fitted knit, knee high tan boots and voila! What would be yours? Another option is what you'd wear for drinks with the girlfriends on a Saturday afternoon again - think of something you'd wear with jeans. 

Make sure you don't drink too much, listen as well as talk and definitely no going home together and you should have a fantastic night!
