Dear Bronny
I just had a baby 3 weeks ago. Have you got any good advice on transition clothing to hide the muffin top! The rest of me is ok but my tummy is still scary! From Yummy Mummy

Dear Yummy Mummy
Congratulations on the birth of your new bubba - what an exciting time for you! Pregnancy brings with it many changes in a woman's body and as such her wardrobe too, which can be frightening as you watch your body do things you thought never possible.
The end result is worth it all of course, but the new body you are left with can pose problems including the one you ask about, that of the dreaded muffin top. In dressing to hide this part of your body can I suggest that you choose jeans that are either still stretchy (if you had the maternity variety) around the top or jeans that are perhaps sit a little bit higher on the waist, remember high waisted jeans are back in fashion which is great for anyone with a big of muffin top!
In looking at how to dress the upper half of your body, I would suggest flowing fabrics that do not cling in any way shape or form to the middle of your body. Peasant tops are great, and with the new looks for summer including the pinafore, I would suggest that a couple of pinafore type tops that fall just below the hip would be excellent in covering the 'muffin top'. I would avoid t-shirts that do not go below the hip, any type of tight material and opt instead for styles such as the pinafore, shirts with vertical stripes, or dresses that you previously wore without jeans now matched over the top of your jeans with a belt cinched in at the waist.
If you follow these tips then you should well and truly avoid revealing your post baby muffin top to the world! With this in mind good luck with the first few months with your new baby and well done (0:
